Setup Guide — Pair Your Hoxe Speaker in 60 Seconds
Setup takes 60 seconds.
Hoxe speakers use standard Bluetooth, so they pair with any phone, tablet, or laptop. Pick your platform below.
iPhone & iPad setup
- Press and hold the power button until the speaker chimes and the light blinks — that's pairing mode.
- On your phone, open Settings → Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Tap Hoxe when it appears under "Other Devices".
- You'll hear a "connected" chime. The speaker reconnects automatically next time you power it on.
Android setup
- Power the speaker on and hold the power (or Bluetooth) button until the light blinks.
- Open Settings → Connections → Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Tap Hoxe in the list of available devices and confirm.
- Connected. Start playing.
Pair two speakers for stereo (TWS)
The Hoxe Boom and Hoxe Go support True Wireless Stereo — link two of the same model into a left/right pair for a wider, bigger sound.
- Power on both speakers and place them within a couple of meters of each other.
- Press the TWS button (or double-press power, depending on model) on each speaker. They'll find each other and chime when linked.
- Connect your phone over Bluetooth to the primary speaker — audio now plays across both as stereo.
- To unlink, press the TWS button again or power the speakers off.
Hoxe Arena (desktop) setup
- Plug the speakers into a USB port on your PC, monitor, or a USB adapter for power.
- For wired sound, connect the 3.5 mm AUX cable to your computer's headphone jack.
- For wireless sound, put the Arena in Bluetooth mode and pair from your computer or phone as above.
- Use the front dial for volume and the lighting button to cycle RGB modes.
How to reset & re-pair
Resetting fixes most issues: won't pair, won't link in stereo, or won't show up.
- Power the speaker on.
- On your phone, "Forget" the Hoxe device in Bluetooth settings.
- Press and hold the power + volume-down buttons together for about 8–10 seconds until the speaker chimes or the light flashes — that confirms a reset.
- Power it off, wait 5 seconds, power it back on, and pair again from step 1 of your platform above.
Troubleshooting
Speaker won't show up when pairing
- Confirm it's charged or powered (the light comes on when it's ready).
- Make sure it's in pairing mode (blinking light), not already connected to another nearby device.
- Forget any old "Hoxe" entry in Bluetooth settings, then retry.
Stereo pair won't link
- Both speakers must be the same model (two Boom, or two Go).
- Forget the Hoxe device on your phone first, link the two speakers, then connect your phone to the primary.
- If it persists, reset both speakers and try again.
Audio cuts out or stutters
- Keep your phone within range and line-of-sight where possible.
- Crowded Bluetooth areas (parties, gyms) can cause brief dropouts.
- Update your phone's OS; Bluetooth stacks improve with updates.
Sound is weak or lacks bass
- Place portable speakers on a solid surface near a wall or corner — it reinforces bass.
- Make sure the speaker isn't in a low-power/eco mode and the volume is up on both the phone and the speaker.
